Dr. Joe Suarez, DVM

Practice Owner

Dr. Joe is a graduate of the University of Georgia (GO DOGS!) and the founder of DeBary Animal Clinic. He has been in the veterinary industry since 1983 and his professional interests include wellness medicine, dentistry, ultrasound and lameness diagnoses in animals such as arthritis, cruciate and degenerative joint disease. When Dr. Joe isn’t doting on his patients, he enjoys biking, kayaking, and spending time with his wife, Marty and their family (both furry and non-furry). He is the proud father of 2 adult sons, Sam and Dan, daughter-in-law Heather, Danielle, a granddaughter named Claire, and two grandsons, River, and Derek. Rounding out the family is a dachshund named Roxie, and two cats by the name of Rachael and Sven.

Dr. Samantha Musho DVM

Dr. Sam

Dr. Sam

Dr. Sam grew up in southwest Florida and graduated from the University Of Florida College Of Veterinary Medicine. Her professional interests include client education, internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and dentistry. Outside of work, Dr. Sam lives on a farm and enjoys horseback riding, gardening, raising chickens and goats, as well as spending time with her dog (Skip) and cats (Tarzan and Dandy).

Tammie

Reception Staff

Tammie began with us in 2006 and is now our Lead Receptionist. She is a true example of an animal lover as her primary concern at the clinic is the health and well being of our patients. She is the proud mom of four cats, and two miniature Australian Shepherds named Chief and Timber. When she isn’t working, Tammie enjoys outdoor activities such as boating, working in the yard and bike riding; but her most favorite time is spent with her husband and “kids”!

Lorri

Hospital Manager

Lorri began with us in 1998 with an extensive background in zoology with the Central Florida Zoo. She enjoys the diverse areas of responsibility she has held at the clinic such as Lead Technician, Receptionist, Surgical Assistant and Inventory. Lorri has two sons named Brandon and Michael and a daughter named Shannon (who also worked here throughout high school and college). In addition, she has one dog… Tyson (Boxer), one cat named Grey Baby, two ferrets named Dewey and Phillip, AND one squirrel named Sandra. Lorri is also a certified Personal Trainer and is continuously working towards earning additional fitness certifications. In her spare time, Lorri enjoys spending time with her family, watching or going out to the movies, working out, doing yoga and kickboxing.

Annitte

Receptionist

Annitte worked her from 2005 to 2007 until she went into early labor with her twin boys. Now eight years later and she is back. Annitte has a very busy life keeping up with twin boys, husband Tim, and her pet kiddos. She enjoys playing outside with her kids, and watching movies. She also likes playing with her two cats BoBo and Ej. The newest addition to their family is a little maltese, named Folly.

Brandon

Head Technician-Nursing Staff

Brandon joined our team in October of 2014. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Science and Animal Science from Texas A&M University. He is currently working on his Master’s of Forensic Science at UF. He has three dogs: Butters, Sash, and Tanner. He has two children who occupy his free time. He enjoys camping and hiking as well as going to the dog park, spending time with his family, and playing games.

Julie

Nursing Staff

Julie has been with us since March of 2012. She is the primary caretaker of the boarding patients and is a valuable member of our nursing staff. Over the last 10 years, she has combined her lifelong love of animals and nature with her degree in Wildlife Management by working with companion animals as an animal help specialist: finding placement for pets, providing resources in behavior/training and pet care. She devotes much of her time volunteering for Labrador Retriever Rescue of Central Florida by helping with events, transporting Labs to their new homes, and even fostering. When she isn’t here, she enjoys biking, walking her dogs and spending time outdoors. There are 2 labs, Jack and Sam, 2 cats, Turtle and Ivy, and a spoiled rotten three legged Border Collie/Cattle Dog/ Aussie Mix who graciously allow Julie to live with them.

Lexie

Nursing Staff

Lexie joined our staff in December of 2015. She is currently going to St. Petersburg College to become a certified vet technician. Lexie has a cat named Emma, and two dogs named Duke and Shadow. Her favorite hobbies include ice skating, reading, photography, and being outdoors with her family, her boyfriend Alex, and her two pups.

Dawn

Client Care Coordinator

Dawn originally began with us as a veterinary technician in 1999 and is now our Client Care Coordiantor. She enjoys conversing with our clients and checking on the progress of our patients. Dawn’s caring nature is not only beneficial here at the clinic, but when she is home as well. She has one Dalmatian named Karma and several cats. Dawn likes to spend time with her animals, family, and friends. She enjoys taking Karma to puppy classes and is currently working with her in agility training. Her 2nd love is Rick Springfield, as she has been a faithful fan for 30 years and counting!

Marty

Administrative Consultant

Marty has been with DeBary Animal Clinic since its inception in 1986, with 3 years of previous industry experience. Around here, she is considered to be our “Numbers Guru”, “Information Specialist” and “Head Cheerleader”! She is a mother to many, as she has 2 human sons, Sam and Dan,a daughter-in-law Heather, Danielle,a granddaughter named Claire, two grandsons, River, and Derek. Her other children include a dachsund named Roxie, and two cats, Rachael and Sven. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Dr. Joe and their sons. Her interests also include being outdoors, photographing nature, beadwork, crafting and going to the beach.
